Mr. Song Zhengping was awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province”

Mr. Song Zhengping was awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province” in March 2018 by Justice department of Jiangsu Province, Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, China Council for Promotion of International Trade, Jiangsu Sub-council and Jiangsu Lawyers Association

Mr. Song Zhengping, awarded as “Top ten foreign lawyers in Jiangsu Province”, was graduated from China University of Politics and Law. He was granted Master of Laws of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. In June 2003, he was sent by the Ministry of Justice to participate in one-year Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme in London. He was selected as “Jiangsu foreign lawyer senior talents” by Jiangsu Province government in 2007 to participate in a 3-month international trade law training scheme in the University of Maryland, the United States. In 2013, he was listed by All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) as “China’s Leading Lawyer in Foreign-related Matters”. He was sent by ACLA to participate in a 2-month training scheme in the University of Hamburg, Germany. 

Mr. Song is the representative of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee and legal adviser of Wuxi Municipal Committee. He serves as vice president of Jiangsu Lawyers Association, president of Wuxi Lawyers Association, judge of Jiangsu Province, member of the Prosecutor Selection Committee and Disciplinary Committee. He is a listed arbitrator for 3 institutional arbitration bodies: Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Nanjing Arbitration Commission and Wuxi Arbitration Commission. He was honored with “Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions” by Wuxi government in 2016. 

His outstanding cases including: Advising Chinese client on its joint venture for Comac C919 with American company; Acting for Far East Cable in the demand guarantee case against Power Links International (a Doha based company) which was reported by Legal Daily and was selected as Excellent Cases in 2017 by Supreme People's Court.
